Sky So BlueA Poem by insanityA whimsical love poem
Sitting alone, in the morning dew Sitting alone, thinking of you Upon a bed of flowers I could sit here for hours Dreaming of things That tomorrow brings Sitting here alone where birds just flew In the clouds, in a sky so blue
Out here illusions manifest This is not in jest I shall not rest Until I've withstood the test You who know me best Know I have been blessed I have no intent to deceive For I do firmly believe I am about to receive A love few can conceive I wear my heart upon my sleeve In hopes you can perceive My feelings for you Pulse through and through Rushing in red and blue Like a viscous tattoo This feeling so new Should be a clue
To what I cannot explain For this is an arduous campaign Love can be quite arcane To some it is is rather inane But to you and I, it shall sustain A place far less mundane One among the stars of night In the oceans of twilight Our hearts, like ships shall right We are two birds in flight With down blindingly white In such a perilous fight Against apathy and fear Way up here In skies so clear Angels shed a tear With the passing of the year The date grows near
When our souls shall be light as a feather In such auspicious weather When we will share ourselves together To be joined as one forever In a bond no man can sever We become clever As our souls intertwine in unity We are unified for eternity This is not by shear synchronicity But out of affinity For each others' benignity In such concinnity We shall live out our days In such wondrous ways Your hand in mine forever stays As we soak in morning's rays A message written in heaven's hallways I love you, forever and for always
Sitting together, in the morning dew Sitting together, thinking of what to do Upon a bed of flowers We could sit here dreaming for hours Remembering things Before we got our wings Sitting here together where birds once flew In the clouds, in a sky so blue © 2009 insanity |
