A Fire Inside

Paradise

From the hillside

Beyond the snow

Riddled by the changing tide

And the everlasting ebb and flow

The distant shores

Fade into the vast blue expanse

Out beyond the wars

And the sea and sky’s romance

Testing the tried and true

Of the endless sea

Out here in the crystal blue

We are but in our infancy

Growing together

Two rivers become one

Like birds of a feather

We fly into the setting sun

 

The night gives way to dawn

Our fear and apprehension

Has now gone

We are free from oppression

And of society’s tyranny

On the distant sands

It’s just you and me

The world in our hands

As we feel the burning inside

Our hearts race

Our lips collide

In this place

We live, we love, in sin

There’s no need to hide our desire

The raging passion from within

Our hearts are on fire
