I saw your beauty and I admired the way it reflected in mine

Wrapping around my core like a vine, making me tremble right down my spine

I never witnessed a being shine so effortlessly

Your kind words fell upon my ears so delicately 

They diminished all of my fears gathered throughout the years

I realized that you were my soul mate and I accepted the distance as a part of our fate

You outstretched your arms and unfolded your fingertips, reassuring me that it was going to be okay, so I handed over my heart and placed it into your hands

You handled my fragile heart gently and with care 

I knew in that moment that I never want to awaken a morning without you 

Once we are together I will trace your lips with a meaningful kiss each day and remind you 

I am here to stay
