![]() PeculiarA Poem by MCS![]() Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day. Focus on the good, no matter how small. ~ Alice Morse Earle![]() Peculiar to look
like yourself Yet not recognize the eyes That look back at you Everyone fails to notice That you are not yourself Life has become fractured The struggles are numerous The greatest is the unyielding dryness Disconcerting to feel one’s eyelids Peels off your cornea The inability to swallow or speak due to Dryness that exceeds the Sahara Desert The loss of flexibility is maddening The hands that once rivaled A surgeon’s dexterity Now labour to turn a doorknob Frustration a constant companion We wait as this thing unfolds Gifting new challenges Fragile is a word that now I truly know its meaning Yet I pray for the grace To face my challenges And continue to live With purpose and dignity ![]() © 2025 MCSReviews
