Turning the Page

A Poem by MCS
"

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"

We are woven into the tapestry of this labyrinth of chaos

Our threads twisted and knotted

With or without our permission

These looms are operated by hidden weavers

Henchmen that pay homage to the puppet master behind the curtain

Making converts as the threads are pulled tight

Some go willingly, bowing to kiss the ring

Of false prophets and court jesters

Others stand their ground and rebel in their own way

In dark times we make due with a flickering candle

Often, hope presents itself in small shafts of light

It's up to the objectors to fan the flames of hope

A remarkable Summary of our current time, Mary!
A woven tapestry, a flickering candle, great images/metaphors.
...You're on a Sunday Roll!😎

Thank goodness for these outlets. Somedays my friend the painting offers very little comfort.
