In these days of chaos

I’m recalling the past

When things seemed simple

 

When a small act of grace 

Put a smile on one’s face 

When a helping hand was just that

 

A return to those simple times

Would be a welcome change 

Can we let kindness light the way

I think it was easier to love and trust one another in times past. Without so much media--especially the biased kind, there was far less polarization. Although I place great value on modern medical science, (I'd have passed years ago without it) much else about these days is detrimental to our existence. Maybe if we try, kindness can once again light the way.
