This canvas has sat unfinished since last fall. Completed this afternoon thanks to bred Brick Keshner’s magnificent poem Pulse, providing the inspiration needed.

I spent a large portion of my youth outdoors, exploring nature. In the midst of these trying times, I find your soothing words and brilliant artwork a balm for my soul. I'd love to follow that path through the small clearing and on to the woods beyond.

In difficult times, nature also provides me with a much-needed balm for my battered soul. I’m very fortunate to have access to pockets of nature not far from the house. That clearing is glorious in spring, and it's awash in wildflowers.
