People have gone nuts

Nonsense piled upon nonsense

Stupidity is admired and emulated 

 

Nations are at risk 

No plans in place 

Clearly no concepts either 

 

Prices rising, security eroding 

Benefits are clawed back

As safety nets get cut 

 

Economies dismantled, markets falling  

Market losses to the tune of five trillion   

Livelihoods shredded and crippled 

 

All this madness goes unchecked

Maniacal demigod drunk on powder 

Surrounded by sycophants programed to say yes

This is certainly a timely piece, and well describes the current political insanity going on. I'll never understand how a single person could have voted for that orange abomination. The future looks frightening, but I'm hoping for the best. An excellent poem.
