Decline

Decline

A Poem by MCS
"

I am patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it. ~ Edith Sitwell

"

Today time crawled

It slows in times of worry

This pace isn’t always the best

Knowing it's not time

To give up

The struggle is just beginning

Even the sun didn’t shine today

The day called for darkness

As the dismantling of many lives began

Greed and indifference

Was the currency of the day

As the markets roiled

The delicate balance once enjoyed

Has been cast aside

As the fools assemble and smile
