“The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love.” — Hilary Stanton Zunin

Walking through the woods

Without you, it is heart-wrenching

As I cry, I pray for rain to wash away

The tears that run down my face

This sacred space is not

The same without you

Yes, places, songs, even smells activate love-lost memories, and just for fun they hit you randomly for no apparent connection at all. ...Is the price worth it? As time goes by I lean more to No than Yes. A haunting black&white write, aptly written :)

Dylan, thank you for sharing, much appreciated.
both the epigraph and the poem capture the impermanence in life: nothing lasts, whether good or bad, it shall all pass.
