Shadows

Shadows

A Poem by MCS
"

Our animal friends teach us more than we could have expected, and love us more than we could have hoped. That’s why we miss them more than we could have imagined.

"

Black circles under my eyes

Black is the colour of my mood

Black crows sit silently in my garden

Death claimed you suddenly

Death plunged its claws into my heart

Death drapes over me and silently I sit

Alone I mourn you

Alone is what I need

Alone I wait in silence

Endless hours filled with sorrow

Endless memories flood my mind

Endless grief is what I’m dealing with

Waiting for time to heal

Waiting to process all this pain

Waiting for your remains to come home
