Deepest Winter

Deepest Winter

A Poem by MCS
"

What good is the warmth of summer without the cold of winter to give it sweetness? ~John Steinbeck

"

Snowy landscape trees stand dormant

Hazy soft light touches the tree tops

Highlighting ice crystals is such brilliance

Yet bitter cold is not suitable for man or beast

At a glance, all looks fragile and calm

Wind blows, breaking the spell
