Winter Magic

Winter Magic

A Poem by MCS
"

The Cree Indians held that the Aurora was part of life's circle and were the spirits of the dead who remained in the sky but apart from their loved ones.

"

Curtain of darkness falls

The sky is a vast space

The lights appear

The brilliance of greens, indigo

Childish delight fills the heart

That is filled with sorrow

Erasing the sadness for a while

days of snowfall....peaceful icicles hang on the trees...I am reminded of childhood friends, and playing in the snow, sledding etc. But I also feel a certain stillness that reminds me of friends who have stilled hearts and are probably looking down at the scene from up above.
reading your poetry is like meditation.
