Misery

Misery

A Poem by MCS
"

“Do you not see how necessary a world of pains and troubles is to school an intelligence and make it a soul?” ~ John Keats, Letters of John Keats

"

In the shadows

The black dogs

Howl my name

Surroundings become silent

Like a black void

A dank grave for one

Time is meaningless

When awareness returns

Sadness sets in

The accounting starts

How long have I been gone

Anxiety and fear surface

In the knowledge

That this cycle

Will return

~ mixed media on paper

what a great pairing this is!
visually? so much depth so much introspection
words match what the painting reveals
the art gives your words life!

a fan for life i am
