it has been more than 15 years since i have stood within a studio
many ideas thoughts and questions it has been
your art your writes your friendship give me image that keeps me on track for my new space
and it is alive not well but alive
2025 is my year! regardless of the opposing interference
my words my actions all reflections of that incompleteness
not for long as reality takes the place of wishes and dreams
and studio once again lives and breathes within me

I'm considering taking up painting, but I usually tend to gravitate towards music whenever I need a release. A long drive is a good catharsis, too. Wishing you well, and hoping you are safe and warm.

We all need to escape. Painting is a wonderful way to do it, especially when the news is so depressing. Poetry helps too. Love that posted image to go with your words.

I have been shutting out the news quite a bit lately.

too depressing...but I guess I don't help things by writing about all of it ....

Painting has to be relaxing and rewarding...I have 12 paintings from my mother, hanging in my house...along with much art from friends.
I just love all of it.
