Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Frozen creek rendered silent

Flock of Canada geese dot the ice

This is brilliant. This is where I want to be, poetically. I often leap into my rowdy rhyming shtick but I really long to reflect the quiet side of nature, which I neglect to do. This is delicious & inspiring (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

pretty scene you create in words here, Mary.
I wonder if geese ice skate...and it is interesting how rivers, streams which gush become so quiet in the dead of winter.
nicely done haiku.
But I also see something else here. I see the new regime taking over here in our country. I see the efforts resumed to bring us together...Black, white and any other colors of the rainbow we are all part of .

and I see the landscape being dotted with all of us once again...not just the chosen few.

I see a lot of Canada geese in my area. Nice looking birds. Very calmly stop traffic as they keep their pace while crossing the street.
