I also live for the warmth of summer. Sometimes it can be downright mind-frying here at 110*/43*C for a month. This summer was mild, so it's been gorgeous. The seasons definitely hold something unique for each person. The reason winter takes away my "oomph" away is becuz I am a total California wimp when temps get a few degrees upwards of the freezing mark! Especially among the aging, winter is a time to hibernate! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
I look forward to this time of year as soon as the kids go back to school. It's a sign that the holidays are nigh, and that gets me excited to decorate once again. It's exhausting though, with a "to do list" as long as my arm, but I manage to get through it, even when the melancholy kicks in. I remember you got a lot of snow last year, and that can drain one of all their "oomph". Just think of how it will inspire you!

Hello Kelly, thank you for reading and sharing. I hope you're right I need some inspiration.
i get this...but i am so totally opposite...
fall makes my energy rise...i love the cool crisp days...
and the trees are so beautiful...unfortunately in Southern Illinois we have about one day of fall...
we just go from summer to winter.
but that is in real life...metaphorically...autumn means we are in our twilight and our winter is coming....we go into the cold ground.
