I love dogs, but living in an apartment, I have three cats instead. For as long as I can remember, I've always had a dog or cat as a pet. Wouldn't wish to live in a house without one... or the other!

Interesting piece with a few well chosen words describing the doggy behaviour you see as meaningful. So many dog lovers showing love to animals is a warm human thing, I do sometimes wish some could show the same love to their 'neighbours' though. And scoop up that poop.........................P.L.E.A.S.E!

I've always wanted a dog but I'm outnumbered in my household by cat lovers. Thank you for sharing your dog with me. I looked after my grandson's blue staffie for six months. I adored her and she rewarded me with so much unconditional love. I will never forget her. Your little poem brought her back.
