Unholy Company

Unholy Company

A Poem by MCS

In the deep shadows

wispy forms move

only seen in the corner of one’s eye

Waves of fear ripple outward

touching hearts and souls

of those who believe differently

A perverted guild

holds court in the dark places

where light or godliness cannot reach

Plotting despicable deeds

spilling blood of the innocent

while praising a God only they understand

Matthew, thank you for reading.
Dark, Apocalyptic and frightening true. Beautiful, eloquent words describe the "deep shadows" that move among us in sinister "waves"-great metaphor use. "Plotting..Spilling..Praising"...How can the light ever get through? Excellent!
