mankind is dying

Storms unleashed

anguished screams heard

Rages fueled by hate

cold fury burns bright

malevolence is born

Most of my life, I bucked the doomsdayers, sure there was more good than bad about this ole world. But nowadays I don't see it that way anymore. I see it exactly like you state it here. The best thing that could happen is that humans wipe themselves out of existence so the rest of the creatures can heal & mend how we've devastated this planet. We certainly seem to be plunging further into the mire. It never ceases to amaze me how much hate there is about. Newspapers and the media love that. It sells. Happy news doesn't. Needs a shift in focus. Happiness is contagious. Trying to remain hopeful. Your poem certainly brings out the dark. Well written.
