What the DUCK

What the DUCK

A Story by MCS

Canada spends 200Gs on a DUCK

as the world spins out of control

as the homeless numbers continue to increase

as food banks become institutions unable to keep up with the demand

as a carbon tax gets levied even though environmental concerns are chucked out the window elsewhere

A giant rubber duck goes on a six-city tour to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday

It's an absolute cluster DUCK!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I know this is old news, but your wit is great. There are always tons of dumb expenditures we could question, but rarely is there ONE so ripe for a critical poem & you blasted a big hole in this rubber ducky (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The Theatre of The Absurd and not in a good way! Excellent satirical write and the photo is the icing on the cake to call attention to waste and debased priorities. At least the duckie is good for a laugh- but at what expense ? How many people could have been sheltered and fed with that money? "Cluster Duck" for sure!
