Disagreeable Moments

Disagreeable Moments

A Poem by MCS

Late May and life is slowly stirring

winter has been long, cold and exhausting

birds seem quiet

as we all are

tired and worn

from the cold and darkness

that is our winter

or perhaps it’s my

spirit

that is tired

cold

dark

exhausted

the winter of our discontent

has unfolded

into the spring

that isn’t

I and others

drag long

these days of gross misconduct

language that is unbecoming

ugliness that seems unending

perhaps the mess surrounding us

has dulled our sight

and spring’s beauty

cannot be appreciated

Thank you so much. We are in that place between winter and spring cold and dull.

Amazing artwork and poetry! Winter's discontent inevitably dissolves with fragrant spring rains. Sun shines and all is well on the earth. Love the uncomfortable, languishing mood the poet creates.

Spring's beauty is alive and well. It's not easy following winter's discontent, but I enjoyed your offering just the same.

I love your personalized signature and font!
