Past and Present

Past and Present

A Poem by MCS

  Somewhere deep inside me

  I draw upon childhood memories

  of my grandparent’s home

  Where I played

  rising in full cry

  when my way wasn’t achieved

  Today standing within these walls

so much I miss and now gone

rising within me a cry of longing

Pure nostalgia hits me when I read this. I find this very relatable!

We know when we are suffering and there is no physical cause we are being pulled from the present, be it to the past or the future. A beautiful and poignant write.
