Words into the Beyond

I love you

I still say those words

I still feel those words

I need to hear those words

I need to feel those feelings

I do that for both of us

over and over again

it doesn’t matter

that you’re gone

I’m still hear

I’ll say them

I’ll feel them

until they mix with time

and repeat out

into the universe

like hushed hymns

that still echo

in crumbling churches

This was a good poem. I had someone I loved very much die, and my heart still aches sometimes when I think of her. But, I find no shame in it, which is why I respect this.
