i'll call you sometimeA Poem by c. bee2/18/18 ((I don't usually fw rhymes but every now and then I give it a shot))
I try my hardest not to cling
As I’m told all too often, ‘it’s just a fling.’ Alas, cling I do, quite akin to Saran Then I watch them flee as fast as they can They just want pleasure and I’m eager to please Even if it means calluses on my knees I imagine it’s nice to wait Until the 3rd or 4th date To be adored for how you express yourself Instead of urged to quickly undress yourself Is it simply that my personality’s bland That my skin is pale rather than tanned Why am I seen as nothing more Than just another one night stand I’m used and tossed aside like a burnt-out cigarette Doomed to forever be a drunken mistake and a sober regret © 2018 c. bee |
