A Poem by c. bee
"

3/22/18 ((this wasn't typed in lowercase bc I think it's unique or cute it's bc I'm lazy as hell and I typed it up on my phone and didn't feel like fixing it lol))

"
i guess this is the part where
every last of inch of the bridge connecting us
crumbles down to ash
i scrub my hands raw until they forget your warmth
you purge until the taste of my lips leaves your tongue
this is the part where the rare fights and the heartache
outshine the first time you said you loved me
and the way I looked at you with more devotion than I knew I had
and every inside joke that made us laugh shamelessly
and how you held my hand and felt my pulse racing to the finish
and the safe haven I sought in the waves of your hair and the gap between your two front teeth
and the future that will never be
the future i knew could never be
and yet i waited for it
i still do
