Prodigal sun

Prodigal sun

A Poem by Anthony Garcia

The sun burns the back

furious; rebelling against father, God

b*****d son, shunned

cast out of heaven

and blocked by both clouds and night

so he burns those below him

a spurning trickledown effect

as I look up at daddy

I am sweating, and blotching red
