Childs’ Play

Childs’ Play

A Poem by Anthony Garcia

I am Andy Walsh

And I am seven years old

I’d like to go and play right now

But I must do what im told

Teacher says im behind on reading

And it would do me good

To pick up this book and read ten pages

I don't want to but I guess I could

I can’t sit still for fifteen minutes

So why do I have thirty for homework

Don't they see it’s not my fault

Im just a kid, being carefree is a perk
