English Love

English Love

A Poem by Anthony Garcia
"

went to Photobucket.com, picked a photo totally random, this is what i came up with.

"

She had distraction written loosely on her lips

Listening to English garage bands
On a warped disk warming in the English sun

Molly Ryan, boyish haircut
One of The Destructors since the age of seven
She took my hand and pulled me by the thumb

Digits dancing, ballroom medleys
Shoe laces unraveled and interlocked
Spoke to me no words, language of the French

Placed my warm hand on her cold thigh
And sought to teach me language skills
As I fumbled in the dark

She passively laughed
Looking everywhere; all around the room
And I was stuck, fixated on her eyes
