For a fisher(wo)man

For a fisher(wo)man

A Poem by Anthony Garcia
"

extended metaphor

"

Catch a fish, eat a fish
It is frowned upon to catch more than your fill
Place your bait, catch a fish
It’s not nice to hook and release
Hook a fish, reel it in
Don’t be surprised if it strives to break your line
Catch a fish, eat a fish
Reel your hook in when you’ve caught the one you want
Catch a fish, love a fish
For there’s a fish out there struggling to breathe, with a whole in its lip
