exam hall

exam hall

A Poem by inkstainedsoul

indents on knucklebones
of a quivering hand
praying for the grades
our parents demand
the seconds slip away
as we desperately scrawl
fighting to keep up to
the clocks unceasing call
smuges all over
white stained to black
our answers feel wrong
theres no time to go back
the instant of horror
as the dreaded voice sounds
mouth dry, breaths short
as our sickened head pounds

B
I see more than just exams
The trials of life
as we sit in anticipation to see how our actions have worked out
Have we passed or did we fail
In doing everything we are called out for and even the things we were not called for

What are the results .............

Very nice description of the exam hall. I could feel the stress and the pressure of time. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This is a great description of test anxiety that I see all the time in my students. With some it is living up to parental expectations, but others demand perfection from themselves. Great write would not chang a word.
