my only wish

my deepest wish has always been
to be noticed, just to be seen
by the one, who matter most
that is all i wish to boast
so i lie awake at night
wondering how to win this fight
is it good grades that you require
or should i aim ever higher
what is it you wish to see
for that is who i shall be
i've been good my whole life through
maybe i'll try something new
drugs and alcohol seem the best
for many others can attest
deciding which road i should take,
