Just beacuse....

Just beacuse....

A Poem by InkSlinger

Words fall silent
on deafened ears
whisked away
on a changing wind
broken promises
full of tears
fallen grace from faultless sin.
Goodbye to you my lover
a bruised flower shaken loose
from the inner seed
words left unspoken,
often felt
but never really given heed.

Friendships
last a lifetime
long after anger breaks the heart
forgiveness
is but a touch away
even though we are so far apart.
Words of mine can not heal
only time
can soothe the ripple of pain
outward,
inward,
consuming
left tired, sullen,
I feel so full of shame.

Lay down your sorrow,
find me
where the road meets the dwindling sky
touching deep
the curve of despair
and share with me
a cleansing cry.
Rise up,
rise up,
and lift your eyes to heaven…
Let the day’s sun warm your face
touch the pain,
feel it one last time
and let your heart forgive with grace.

:) You are forgiven...lol
I can relate to this one, the hurt, the guilt..the want to move past all that to retain friendship...to live again. You have an amazing ability to tap into the inner sanctum of emotions then express them with an uncomplicated but beautiful selection of words used in just the right way. A gift. :)
