"For the life of another"©A Poem by inkedvocabularyViewpoint of life.
The heart of soul, the eye of spirit
and the need to carry on, it's not the Zen or Yin and Yang possessed by Avalon, not a Kubla Khan in Xanadu with dome and caves of ice, no Sherpa guides, no temples, while in Tibet it would be nice, never caravans from spice routes visited by Marco Polo, nothing shared by Luke and Yoda nor forced on Wookies by Han Solo, from Florence over to Venice those sighs by bridges heard, from Renaissance to Inquisition... Torquemada has been assured, Castle Balfour through Macbeth and death by Danish Kings, following World War II, J.R.R. Tolkien and his,"Lord of the rings," these are all but stories, people, places and things in time, and the truth be known strictly verse interspersed with rhyme, none of these the heart of soul- the spirit of a man, life means to protect it's own- to release it not our plan, and since captives and P.O.W.'s come close to lose it all, they would be the one group that could truly make this call, the eye of spirit will see us through- right down to the end, for you, my Brother, I lay it down and thanks for being my friend.
