Suicide River

Suicide River

A Poem by InkBlack
"

I had this idea while bored and not wanting to study for finals

"

Gushes of red flow from your wrists and thighs,

Into the river you drowned yourself in.

The rope you hung yourself with dangles frailly,

From the tree you jumped from.

And the bottle of pills you swallowed,

Sits along the banks with the shotgun you put to your head.

Your pale and lifeless body rides the current,

For mourners to weep as you pass by,

As it prepares to sink into a watery grave,

Where it will eternally lie.
