Foliage Heroes

Foliage Heroes

A Poem by InkBlack
"

I wrote this poem as a warm up for my school's writing club, it was supposed to be about a hero in our lives. I picked the leaves for whatever reason. The picture with this is one of mine :)

"

My heroes are the fall leaves.

They breathe their last breaths with honor and integrity.

Resting on withering trees,

Glowing hues of orange, yellow, and red,

They make me want to be my best,

Even when I feel weak or when the end is near.

They always remain beautiful,

Until the last leaf flies the fatal flight.
