Deadwood

Deadwood

A Poem by In just us for all

Restle down,

attend your oddities.

Foreign tongues,

I have sermons to conduct!

Take legions of night,

transpire till next of morning.

Arrive with new comings?

Please tell,

good fortune

abroad the reckless frontier?

Sir!

The scripture is burning,

heard these tragic pleasures!

Rile the angst of servicemen?

Send news of reply:

" the rifles are coming,

take up brothers in arms!"

Hold out your hand,

to the w****s say goodbye.

Your off to the field of war.

I'll arrive at dawns awakening,

bid a due,

sweet nothings

my love!

My letter left with her:

May I call on your gentle lips,

send regards of the short comings,

I'm now to attend?

Wait in sleep,

dream meadows green,

wait for me!

Rest your hand,

on our water's bend.

This is how,

I'll come back to this land!

Bask in the sun,

as I pretend to see your body beautiful!

Your thoughts speak,

traveling an eternal distance,

to reach my wounded hand.

How I love,

you know I always will!

I like this. Just one thing I don't understand. "take up brothers in arms!" So, you're saying to take up our brother in arms? Good job!

"Take legions of night" - Love that line. Great write. A few typos, but overall well done. Flow and format was great. Such sadness in the revelation of his reality. Kudos.
