Sweet-Toothed Selfish

Sweet-Toothed Selfish

A Poem by Christine Gao
"

To snoopy

"
A selfish reciprocant of unreciprocated feelings
Feed me with your love and obsession
But I’ll never give you any in return.
You are a cruel witch,
Manipulator of feelings,
Of an innocent boy who loves you.
Twist him, twist him, twist him!
Why, what crime has he committed?
To love you when you’re not ready,
To wait for you when you’re too slow,
To tell you wicked, wicked truths,
And to feed you sweet sugar when you know
You’re a sweet-toothed selfish.
