Dead Happiness

Dead Happiness

A Poem by Leanne

A dead happiness sung aloud

For what we search cannot be found

And beneath our masks we peak

To find that which we all seek -

A joyous sound alive!

Oh, how we feel so deprived

In this cloud of lonliness we stand

Feeling very much, just dead

and though our problems, all the same

A friend - we cannot name

For trust lacks in this cruel game

Tripping others to the finish

As our souls, how they diminish

In the end we are all nothing

Unfinished tasks- ghosts they do sing

Sadness in a blanket as bird cries under wing

About
My name is Leanne. I don't write as much as I once did: perhaps it means that my mental health is a lot better than it was when I did write a lot or that I just have people who I can go to if I need t.. more..
