The World, a Contradiction

The World, a Contradiction

A Poem by Leanne

The world is a contradiction of itself

We perform violence for peace

And anger others for our own happiness

Dictating the world for a conclusion of freedom.

They say this is a terrible place,

But that is just one fact

For without all this, goodness would have no definition

Happiness would be undefined

We cannot know freedom without being captives

Or need God where Satan does no harm

It is a balance of good and evil.

Where without one, the other is nonexistant

For without death, would we have life?

I loved it. This was sincerely what I just posted in a journal/rant I wrote. So I'm glad you have feelings like mine. At least a few feelings. =)

Very creative and truthful. Good work

My name is Leanne. I don't write as much as I once did: perhaps it means that my mental health is a lot better than it was when I did write a lot or that I just have people who I can go to if I need t.. more..
