Seagulls

Seagulls

A Poem by Leanne
"

Pollution is not good.

"

Down at the ocean,

The grass withers away where the remains of seagulls lay.

Sometimes we wonder how children used to play,

Where all these dead seagulls currently lay.

And before, the sun would be shining,

As waves touched the shore,

The water'd be foaming,

As seagulls flew o'er.

They'd go fishing for fish,

And eat all that they wish.

Than one day it happened:

The fishermen came.

They fished until the fish were all gone.

The seagulls were starved and did nothing, but yawn.

Years passed, the fish just never came back.

The seagulls starved,

So they died. The end. That was that.

And now I just stand here,

Looking upon all these corpses

Of dead birds that once flew magestically above the oceans.

"How could this happen?" I wonder out loud,

"This shouldn't be a graveyard,

It was once a beautiful town."

And I hope this won't ever happen again.

The seagulls need fish to live.

The end.
