Under a Starry Night

A Poem by Infamous Real
"

Last night I was sitting with a friend under a starry sky and it inspired me to write a poem.

Under a Starry Night

Staring up with heart's desire

Sitting, longing, hoping, dreaming,

To see on high the splendid choir

Forever with its vigil keeping.

Hide not behind cloud or city's glow

Forever dance in the sky above

To a tune only the Heavens know

That sings of an age of timeless love.

Steadfast you hold me in your gaze

Upon this man, this field, this sod.

Kiss me with your gentle rays

And wink to me as to you I nod.

The darkness no longer for you a test

As faithfully you return unto your place

Waiting in the sweet night's rest

Till morning comes and warm embrace.
