"Death of a Rose"
It was a vision. -- The flower bloom,/
The pale of moonlight, upon her bed/
The rose stood, and wept: within the gloom/
Cast its petals upon her head/
Longing for the sun, no more cold doom/
Upon its lips had taken dull red/
From her eyes there streamed a tear/
As the last petal fell beyond all fear/
