The Potter's Hand

The Potter's Hand

A Poem by Infamous Real
"

"Hath not the potter power over the clay?"

"

The Potter's Hand

Careful, careful is the potter's hand

As he molds the contours of his pot,

From the common mud of the land

Came this precious vessel he wrought.

He places the vessel in the furnace

To bake the clay full strong

And what seems at first only sternness,

Will help the pot belong.

For the potter knows what the pot needs

To make the vessel worth more then gold

And serve well the potter's deeds,

This is why the potter chose to mold.

But what if the pot should ever break

And lose its strong integrity?

Would it cause the potter's heart to ache

And for the broken pot fill pity?

Yet the potter's work is never done,

And the broken pieces he can mend.

No broken vessel will he ever shun,

Great things, for this pot, he does intend.

That a good poem, I really enjoyed reading it.

However I thing your missing some thing in this line. 'To bake the clay full strong' It doesn't seem complete, I would try to add a to in between the clay and full, then read it that way to see if sound a little better.
