*Stars*

*Stars*

A Poem by Secondhand Tink
"

A poem about a boy/man who always loved stars but could never be one till 'my' star so to speak, showed him the way, it's kinda like a story in how it pans out. ^_^

"

Who was that flared *star* on this dark night?
Bewitching your gaze as she took flight,
No longer was
I in your view,
My *iridescence* worthless,
When I only
sparkled for you.

So
I continue my way across this sky,
Hoping one day
you’ll learn what it is to fly,
Instead of taking
diamond pinpricks for your own,
You’ll learn what it is to be with one love alone.

I’d sparkle for you till the
moons glow is torn,
Till the
sun burns out, with all its energy drawn,
Till
Earths ~~rivers~~ shrivelled to dust,
Till the day life would simply
c o m b u s t.

But you’ll never know what it is to
love me,
You’ll never know how to fly and be f r e e,
You’ll always be c~h~a~i~n~e~d to that ground,
Wishing
you didn’t steal the *stars* you found,

You
ask the sky:
‘What I do when you grow black?
When all I see is darkness, will the *stars* come back?’
But just when you lose all of
your hope,
You see me s o a r right by,
And
you remember how I shined for you all that way up high,
When
I was always your light in the darkest of nights,
And
I’d follow you there when my shine grows dim,
When
you finally know this Earths is too grim,
Our souls can soar across the
night,
Showing others the way till
dawns b-r-e-a-k-i-n-g light.

Not the most fantastic dirty pretty attempt, but I think it looks rather nice ^_^ I'm quite happy with this poem :) I hope everyone else is too! As usual certain fonts are significant to me and the things behind this interesting little tale :)

How lovely.... Truly wonderful and I am such a fan of this poem. I may one day try to do something similar with your permission. I like the idea and story behind it and I love how pretty you made it. It was truly a wonderful read. Thanks for sharing.

I think the poem is excellent..I remember feeling that same way about someone .. I married him ..he finally saw my shine.. became unchained and we flew off together..all the colors work well .. some don't show as well .. hard to read but I like them all the same. and the changing of fonts

i really enjoyed it! Especially when you capture the words that you want us to either capture or make the poem more significant.
