Glitter

Glitter

A Poem by Secondhand Tink
"

Pretty spontaneous just kind of came to me when I was trying to write my pm on msn earlier tonight, it gave me a strong sense of relief to write this.

"

Your voice it burns when i'm addicted,
Obsessed, infatuated, craving...it?
Longing for how it feels as it swirls around my brain,
The memory fading slowly, careless and ignoring my needs,
The traces of glittering pain growing out behind me,
Like the lines left by excavating thorns.

Again I’m left cold,
Trying so hard to pretend I don’t see the heart by your side,
That I know is for her...
Failing, I’m left empty,
And now it’s your font I long to see,
As the ice catches up with my running heart,
The heat escaping my slippery palms,
The nerves of you holding me together.

Not much to say...I tried to pour as much of my feeling into it as I could till I felt it was finished.

This was very deep. I love how you started it with slight rhymes and even when the rhymes tapered off it style manage to keep it's rhythm. It kept the rythm when the stanza's changed as well. Very nicely Done!
