Eclectic dreams now becoming a rarity,
My insane fears some may look upon with hilarity,
Prejudice swirls around me, everything so fake,
Like looking into the depths of a shallow lake,
Drowning on the lies you told,
None of its true, none of those values you say you hold,
Meretricious is my heart,
That’s how you make me feel now that it just won’t start.
Beauty is everything in this life,
Yet it brings such toil, work and strife,
Strips of feeling, leaving us reeling,
The skin of the living corpses peeling,
peeling away the masks, showing us all their past.
