A Bright FutureA Chapter by Joshuathis is the chapter that introduces most of the main characters in my book, working progress at minute.
It was an early start in London, as the sun raised to early morning revelers on their way to work, school and an early shopping spree. the sun's light glistened on the river themes, reflecting the tall, eye dropping, buildings that were all over this part of London.
No one likes being awoken early, not when the wonder and peaceful oppertunity's that sleep provide are still in full swing, providing a temporary haven for the harsh reality's of everyday life. So when Chris Fords mum Julie, came and shook him awake at half past seven in the morning, he was none to pleased. 'Wake up son' she said quietly nudging him 'it's time to get up' Chris simply groaned and rolled over, wanting more than ever to go back to sleep, back into his dreams. 'wake up Chris or i'll have to get your dad to come drag you out of bed' responded Julie leading to more hopeless groans from under the duvet. Relatively pleased that Chris had got the message, she got up and left the room, closing the door loudly behind her to make sure he did not doze off again. Hearing the door close, Chris rolled back over, wanting more than anything to doze back off, but didn't dare for his dad wasn't the nicest when waking you up. Sighing to himself, he threw back his covers, got up and began to get changed enviously listening to the slow, deep, shallow breathing of his elder brother Jason coming from the next room. He always gets an extra ten minutes sleep! and a phone! and football tickets! he gets everything! thought Chris bitterly. Still, it wasn't as if Jason had not earned it.
