seek and findA Poem by indigo
We search our lifetimes to reach a thing called enlightenment, but when
the searching leaves us exhausted and weary, we come to realize that we have never gotten any closer to finding the peace we yearn for. The more we search, the more elusive this inner contentment seems to become. Is enlightenment an illusion - an ethereal golden ring set up by some evil carnival lord to keep us going, hoping, dreaming, believing that the struggles and trials we face on earth will culminate in a great reward for us, somehow, someway, someday? Perhaps we search for something we already have. Perhaps we are searching in the wrong places. Perhaps defining ourselves is where we go wrong. The word is made flesh. If we saw ourselves as finders, maybe then we'd see we have all that we've been longing for. Someone once told me "Your beliefs shape the reality you create." Yes, I do believe I'm inclined to agree. © 2015 indigoReviews
