Poe's Raven

Poe's Raven

A Poem by Inda

Poe’s raven swore

he ne’re spoke.

“The pain in his heart

Spun that tale.”

He scarcely stood upon

that chamber door.

“But, for a moment!”

He exclaimed.

“Yet, now I carry

This ache,

It is mine

To claim.”

He cares not

for the spirits;

 they stir up old memories.

“That grand,

madman

immortalized me in that

moment

when even I was lost."
